Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

  • “We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Wight Wood Garden Services

  • “You”, “Client” refers to the customer

  • “Services” means all gardening, landscaping, and maintenance work provided

  • “Quotation” means the agreed price for works


2. Acceptance of Work

By accepting a quotation (written, verbal, or email), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.


3. Scope of Services

  • Services include (but are not limited to): lawn care, hedge trimming, pruning, planting, garden clearance, and general maintenance

  • Work will be carried out to a reasonable professional standard

  • Any additional work requested outside the original quote may incur extra charges


4. Quotations & Pricing

  • Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise

  • Prices may change if:

    • The scope of work changes

    • Unexpected site conditions arise

  • Estimates are approximate and may vary depending on actual work required


5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise

  • For larger jobs, a deposit may be required

  • Late payments may incur interest or admin charges

  • We reserve the right to pause work if payment is not made


6. Access & Client Responsibilities

  • You must provide safe and reasonable access to the site during working hours

  • You must ensure:

    • Pets are secured

    • Access routes are clear

    • Water/electricity is available if required

  • Failure to provide access may result in a charge


7. Cancellations

  • We require at least 24–48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule

  • Late cancellations may be subject to a call-out fee


8. Waste Removal

  • Green waste removal is included/excluded (choose one for your site)

  • If included, waste will be removed and disposed of responsibly

  • If excluded, waste will be left on-site unless agreed otherwise


9. Weather Conditions

  • Work may be delayed due to weather conditions

  • We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control (e.g. rain, storms)


10. Plants & Materials

  • Plants are living items and cannot be guaranteed once installed

  • Responsibility for watering and aftercare lies with the client unless a maintenance plan is agreed


11. Damage & Liability

  • We will take reasonable care while working on your property

  • We are not liable for:

    • Pre-existing damage

    • Hidden services (pipes, cables not disclosed)

    • Natural wear or weather-related issues

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out


12. Health & Safety

  • We comply with UK health and safety standards

  • We reserve the right to stop work if conditions are unsafe


13. Subcontractors

We may use trusted subcontractors where necessary to complete work


14. Complaints

  • Any concerns must be raised within 7 days of work completion

  • We will aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly


15. Data & Privacy

  • Any personal data provided will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy

  • We will not share your details with third parties without consent


16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales
